Salesforce and Omnicom Partner in CRM Alliance CRM platform, Salesforce.com, and global ad and marketing communications company Omnicom Group, announced the first ever CRM alliance to create an integrated customer journey platform. The partnership will help Omnicom’s agencies create highly personalised communications that connect the dots between marketing, sales, communities and customer service, allowing its clients to create dynamic, end-to-end customer journeys. The platform will leverage data from numerous sources to deliver optimised content to audiences on every channel and every device, and across paid and owned media. Salesforce says in-app ads to join the physical and digital EXACTTarget, the digital marketing arm of CRM specialist Salesforce.com, is offering marketers the ability to follow customers into stores, into the gym and even into the mobile games they play in order to ping them marketing messages. The company has launched a digital marketing product that allows brands to send marketing messages to people within the apps on their mobile devices, including wearables, and manage them as part of a centralised marketing software suite. Dubbed “Journey Builder for Apps”, the product enables brands to “create windows to push content into the application”, according to Derek Laney, Salesforce Exact Target’s regional head of product marketing.
